Moroccan Date and Orange Salad

Yield: 4 servings | Prep Time: 20 minutes


  • ½ cup NAKANO® Seasoned Rice Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. red onion, finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. mint, chopped, optional
  • ¼ tsp. Ras el Hanout
  • 1 head butter lettuce
  • 8 navel oranges, peeled, sliced
  • ⅓ cup pistachios, chopped or almonds, toasted, slivered
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 8 figs, quartered


  1. For salad dressing, combine NAKANO® Seasoned Rice Vinegar, orange juice, olive oil, onion, mint and Ras el Hanout; set aside.
  2. Line a serving platter or individual salad plates with lettuce leaves. Arrange orange slices and figs over lettuce. Sprinkle with dates and nuts. Drizzle with dressing.
